The company was born in 1994 when the entrepreneur Mate Vekic planted out an extensive olive grove built a modern mill with the deep interior need to promote the red earth of Istria historically devoted
to olive-growing, a terroir that allows for an extra virgin oil of rare excellence
the company
The company today boasts an olive-growing heritage of 27,000 trees covering 70 hectares planted primarily with Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino varieties and recently with indigenous Bianchera and Buza cultivars. The harvest is carried out manually and the olives are pressed within just a few hours to preserve their intrinsic organoleptic characteristics. The care given to our cultivation methods coupled with our constant regard to eco-sustainable agriculture have enabled the company to be certified “organic “

Mate trasparenza marina – label inspired by the colour of the sea that can be admired from the mill; extracted from Leccino e Pendolino olives. Harmoniously lively and elegant, best suited to delicate fish and vegetable dishes. Mate timbro istriano – label inspired by the colour of the red earth of Istria; extracted from Frantoio olives. Balanced and persistent, ideal in meat-based preparations or grilled vegetables. Mate bianca bellezza – white and green label inspired by the colour of the fruit; extracted from the indigenous Bianchera olives. Essential, balanced and perfect with sliced beef, vegetable soups and fresh cheese. Mate viola tonda – white and violet label like the colour of the indigenous Buza when the fruit starts to ripen. Delicately harmonious and original, its fresh and embracing notes enrich dishes with cereals, vegetables or pulses. Mate blend – evocative label, perfect chromatic synthesis of the carefully selected varieties used to create this unique product.
