A history starting before the Second World War, a history told by every single delicacy of the De Vivo bakery. In the early thirties, the De Vivo family
owned a famous and well-known bakery in the booming city of Pompei, with one fundamental policy: the use of starter dough.
60 years and 2 generations later, the same policy is at the base of the production of leavened products in the De Vivo bakery, run today by Marco, his wife Ester and daughter Simona. In the heart of one of the most ancient and 
historical cities of Campania, still today one of the most important and most visited cities in Italy. Located in via Roma, standing between the Sanctuary of Pompei and the famous ruins, the De Vivo bakery offers every day a great range
of typical Neapolitan products, prepared with 
passion and knowledge.
Delicacies will make you forget where you are:
the softness of the pastiera, the crunchiness
of a sfogliatella, or the sweet smell of a babá
which has just been dipped in rhum will transport 
you to a tasty, happy place. De Vivo is not only
a bakery. It offers handmade ice cream prepared
with the freshest ingredients, a spot-on bar
which allows to get the best drink to match
with the desserts: a great place wit great food
to enjoy alone or in company.The De Vivo leavened products are born following the “rule” of the starter 
dough, and “grow up” through a long and complex leavening process.
The leavening lasts for 36 hours, and we know that to get a great product,
one must not rush; Marco knows that too, and that is why, together
with his team, he challenges himself every day in working with passion
and commitment following the recipes his grandparents left him, focusing
on the simplicity and attention to detail which differentiates the traditional 
methods from the modern ones. The team assembled by Marco De Vivo
is committed to the art of working with passion and precision, through 
knowledge and heart. A team enthusiastic to take on new challenges,
