Company Profile
Azienda Agricola Pujje was established in Apulia, a region of Southern Italy. Apulia is historically known as “the Olive land” and our company’s goal is to spread the quality of such land at our best by producing top-class Extra Virgin olive oil in design bottles. On our farm, which is located in Palagianello near Taranto, we have about 12.000 olive trees and 8 different cultivars, all of them cultivated by means of agronomic methods without using any chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Pujje Evoo comes from the company's olive trees exclusively. Olives are picked by means of olive harvesters before ripening is complete, that is in October, then immediately (that is in 6/8 hours’time) milled in its own plant. Each production stage is carefully checked in details, both in the olive grove and inside the mill. In the olive grove, Pujje employs a yearly agronomic plan involving activities such as: land fertilization and ploughing, trees cleaning and pruning, various treatments on trees, irrigation when necessary until harvesting time. All products employed are organic and devoid of chemical substances. The mill is equipped with a modern continuous cycle cold extraction plant characterized by low water and energy consumption, where the different varieties are milled separately and afterwards combined. In order to keep its characteristics unaltered as long as possible and delay any possible oxidation process, Pujje Evoo is stored in stainless steel tanks equipped with a system of inert gases (nitrogen) at a controlled temperature all the year round and it is bottled upon order placement.
Pujje produces and commercializes the following four varieties of Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Anfitrite (Light Fruity Multicultivar), Rea (Intense Fruity Multicultivar), Helios (Medium Fruity intense Monocultivar made by Ogliarola Salentina thousand-year old trees). They are certified by accredited panels of international experts as well as specialized chemical analytical laboratories.
