Company Profile
The origins of the Tartarini family business date back to 1755, with Antonio, a merchant specializing in spirits and distilled beverages, who was succeeded by his son. After more than a century of established expertise, in 1889 the business evolved into a thriving liqueur factory, the “Premiata Liquoreria Giulio Tartarini.”
This commercial enterprise was awarded the Grand Prix and Gold Medal at the 1909 International Exhibition in Florence for its most iconic product, “Liquore del Reno.”
The company’s success during this period, which established the distillery among the finest on the market, was due not only to the exceptional quality of its liqueurs, but also to the sophisticated images of female faces that adorned its elegant labels and advertising materials. The graphics and illustrations, characteristic expressions of the Art Nouveau style of the period, are true works of art created by the renowned painter from Pieve di Cento, Remo Fabbri.
Stefano Tartarini, great-grandson and heir of the family, firmly believed in reviving the family’s historic liqueur business and has brought the iconic brand back to the market, faithfully following the original handwritten recipes of his great-grandfather, which have been carefully preserved by the family to this day.
