Company Profile
Once upon a time, in the Modena lowlands, there was a stretch of countryside where the fog always arrived on time, pears ripened on the trees, and people didn’t say much — but when they did, they meant it.
In 1963, a group of farmers decided that, alongside working the land, they might as well join forces. And so CIPOF was born: an agricultural cooperative with its feet firmly planted in the soil and its eyes looking a little beyond the boundaries of its own fields.
Ever since, we’ve grown our own fruit and, since we’re the ones who grow it, we believe it deserves to be treated well. We harvest it, transform it, and do our best to bring out everything good that the land has to offer.
Then one day, we had an idea that some might have considered a little crazy: what if we put pear into balsamic vinegar?
Not to mess with tradition, but to see what might happen when tradition meets a little imagination.
That’s how Balsamico Pera came about — a product for which CIPOF holds the patent.
And because people from the Modena lowlands are not easily satisfied, we started looking for new ways to enjoy it: with food, with drinks, and with anything else that can get along nicely without starting an argument on the plate or in the glass.
In the end, the idea is simple: we grow our own fruit and give it a new life, without ever forgetting where it came from.
Because the countryside changes, times change, and tastes change too. But one thing stays the same: when the raw material is good, half the job is already done.
The other half, fortunately, is still up to us.
