We were born in Cava de' Tirreni, just a stone's throw from Salerno, amidst the scents, colors, and flavors of the Amalfi Coast: our family preserves the ancient recipe for true Limoncello, the original, made with PGI Amalfi Coast lemons, according to that unique process called tradition, which begins with a lesson, becomes culture, and is passed down through generations.
This family, with centuries of intense, passionate experience, is constantly evolving, always seeking new ideas to captivate lovers of authentic flavors.
Russo Family
An adventure spanning four generations
Back in 1899, Antonio Russo founded one of the first distilleries in Campania; the craft was taken up and learned by his son Gennaro, who specialized in the transformation of liqueurs.
n turn, his son Maurizio revitalized the renowned art of infusions and created Elisir di Limoncello, prepared according to the traditional recipe with the peel of PGI Amalfi Coast lemons, thus establishing his brand internationally.
Maurizio Russo bequeathed his art and passion to his sons Gianluca and Massimiliano, who even today, with the wisdom of ancient distillers, collect the myriad flavors of the family's secret recipes, treasuring them to pass on to the next generation.
Our laboratory is a school, a workshop: it is our secret garden, always in full bloom, where quality, strength, and trust are cultivated.
Here, in the laboratory of the ancient Maurizio Russo liqueur factory, Elisir di Limone® was born, the inimitable and original Limoncello prepared according to the traditional recipe.
