Company Profile
The Bargilli company was founded in 1936, when Orlando, the founder, decided to pursue a career as a pastry chef and took over the workshop of a Bohemian Jewish family in the late 1930s.
From the reinterpretation of a traditional Northern European wafer came the “Cialda di Montecatini.” A light and delicious cookie, where all-natural ingredients come together in perfect harmony, creating a refined blend of 00 wheat flour, whole milk, fresh eggs, sugar, and top-quality almonds from Puglia.
The production process involves baking two delicate wafers, which enclose a unique filling made of almonds and sugar. The result is a crisp, light, and energizing cookie that can be enjoyed at breakfast, as a dessert paired with wines, sparkling wines, and dessert wines, as a snack with tea or hot chocolate, or alongside ice cream and delicate mousses, or simply perfect on its own.
The finishing touch is the distinctive metal packaging, featuring a unique Liberty-style graphic that ties the product inseparably to the city of Montecatini Terme.
In addition to the Montecatini Wafers, the Bargilli family offers traditional almond Cantucci and anise-flavored Brigidini, expertly enhancing simple, genuine ingredients in full respect of tradition.
