The history of the Scudellaro Farm in Candiana (PD), in the heart of Bassa Padovana, is a story that began almost forty years ago, although the real turning point occurred in the 1990s when chicken coops began to disappear from homes and therefore the demand gradually shifted from live animals to slaughtered animals.
Mirco and Alberto Scudellaro sensed this change and in a few years the company, also thanks to structural interventions, achieved a prestigious position on the national market.
Today, the company specializes in the breeding of farmyard poultry such as: chickens, hens, capons, guinea fowl, geese and ducks, rabbits and organic eggs.
From the beginning, the goal was clear: to produce products that are excellent to the palate and ethically respectful of the rhythms of nature.
We strongly believe in the slow-growth breeding method with animals free to roam outdoors, using a simple, unforced diet, with grains, legumes and alfalfa, giving them natural growth times.
The pride of the company is the production according to the Latte & Miele specification. The tradition of the Padovana Court combined with the research of the University of Padua and chef Barontini led us to patent the Latte & Miele breeding system.
The Chamber of Commerce of Padua holds ownership of the patent and is therefore still the control and guarantee body.
Our Latte & Miele chicken, already excellent for being raised outdoors with a healthy diet, finds a new intensity in its flavor thanks to the use of honey and milk during the growth phases.
However, the advantages of this diet are not all in taste: the animals also benefit in health and well-being.
For some years now, it can be said that Latte & Miele Chicken is the best poultry product offered on the Italian market.
