Company Profile
Antico Pastificio “Gaetano Faella”, the pasta that really tastes like wheat !!!!
If you say Gragnano, say pasta. But if you say Antico Pastificio “Gaetano Faella”, you say quality pasta. Since 1907, in fact, the company, mixing perfectly history, tradition and passion, has made the processing of wheat a real art, in the respect of the History of Gragnano, European Capital of Pasta but known all over the world for its centuries-old vocation to pasta making that was carried out in several stages, all exclusively handcrafted.
L’ Antico Pastificio “Gaetano Faella“ is based in Piazza Marconi (formerly S. Leone) in n° 13/14, where today a family-run business is carried on now in its third generation. After the founder, Gaetano Faella and his son Mario, Knight of Labor, are Sergio Cinque & Co., grandchildren of this last one, to keep the name of the pasta-making tradition high.
The production of the pasta factory Faella is distinguished by some very precise procedures: first of all, the use of mixtures of durum wheat semolina 100% Italian high quality, the use of Gragnano pure spring water which is another essential and characterizing element, then a very slow dough with bronze drawing and traditional drying at very low temperature (max. 48°C).
The attention to these details gives the finished product a valid consistency, an indisputable perfume and an unmistakable flavour. A pasta that really tastes like wheat !!!!
