Company Profile
Passo Ladro is an ethical business rooted in the Val di Noto, between Syracuse and Noto, with the aim of helping restore social and environmental balance to the agri-food supply chain of Southern Italy.
The company takes its name from the local area, where 50 hectares of land, once largely abandoned, have been reclaimed and transformed into a project based on organic, regenerative and environmentally responsible agriculture. In the 19th century, these paths were frequented by brigands. Today, Passo Ladro redefines the meaning of this history, working to restore value to the land and local communities.
This is the inspiration behind the philosophy of the Ethical Brigands: people who believe in an approach to agriculture that regenerates rather than depletes, respects the natural rhythms of the seasons, values farmers' work and supports local economies.
Passo Ladro directly oversees the different stages of the supply chain, from cultivation and harvesting to processing and shipping, while collaborating with local farmers. Seasonal raw materials are enhanced through fresh and processed products, while surplus produce is recovered to reduce waste and give new life to what the land provides.
A project built on organic farming, a short supply chain, environmental responsibility and respect for the land.
