Passion is the element that has always distinguished our work and our land is the main source of inspiration for the creation of our wines. Also this time, indeed, to be our inspiring muse was our beloved Argentario, a place rich in history, nature and tradition. And it is precisely our territory that has traced the production line, because what we have looked for has been the combination of botany that were typical of our area, identifying, because always, both with wines and now with GIN. The focus was on the typicality, the enhancement of the Maremma and the creation of a product closely linked to it, that best expressed and helped us to promote it.
When, with Lorenzo Zappi, barman born and raised in Maremma, we studied the recipe of /ar-GIN-tà-rio/ we designed it with the shape of a molecule with 6 points, as if each of these elements would close a circle, with inside the spirit of wine of our Ansonica. We aimed for a simple gin with a few botanicals, but particular in the selection. Each plant we have chosen awakens some hints, memories that stimulate our mind and that overall create a harmony of flavors. We imagined a dreamlike journey of scents starting from the rock and arriving at the terraces of white grapes of Ansonica, historical component of the wines of our family, from there the final touch of grape brandy from our own vineyards.
In addition to the juniper are joined by the botany we collected by hand that are the LENTISCO, which is around our vineyards and expands throughout the Mediterranean and the FINOCCHIETTO MARITTIMO, which was born on the cliffs in front of the sea of Talamone and Argentario, the citrus groves of bitter oranges typical of the territory, the jasmine hedges that surround the villas above and finally the scent of lemon balm completes the olfactory path of our Gin.
