SPEAK FOOD is the theme accompanying the twentieth edition of TASTE. A journey through the diversity of taste (Florence, Fortezza da Basso, February 6 to 8, 2027).
At TASTE, "we speak food." Because food is a universal language, a shared idiom, a recognizable alphabet. And it is also a gesture. To offer, to plate, to peel, to crumble, to shell, to feed: every action is part of a narrative.
This is how the advertising campaign announcing the twentieth edition of TASTE was born, with creative direction by Francesca Sarti and photography by Marius W Hansen, a Norwegian-born photographer celebrated for his still life captures, which with precision and a deep aesthetic sensibility have captured fashion, food, fragrances, and jewelry. The campaign video is signed Zampediverse.
The protagonists are some of Italy's finest ingredients — mackerel, capers, tomatoes, honey, cheese, and torrone — which speak through gestures. Hands front and center, as in Munari's book, while taste expresses itself through colors, textures, and forms.
Not one, but many different languages. Because at TASTE, WE SPEAK FOOD.
What about you? How do you SPEAK FOOD?
