In the heart of the Gargano hills, the quiet town of San Marco in Lamis has hosted a bakery since 1961 in which tradition and avant-garde have been able to create a perfect synergy, reinventing typical local products without giving up the authenticity of the flavors of the past.
Even today, the processes are carried out almost entirely by hand by the sisters Lina, Maria and Tanella, using only home-cured sourdough, while their nephew Antonio, who not many years ago decided to take over the historic family business, he dedicates himself to experimenting with new creations inspired by his great-grandmother's ancient recipes; he does it together with a group of young people, girls and boys, who are growing solid and who will form the future foundations of Forno Sammarco.
By relying solely on the quality of local raw materials and enhancing the work of local producers, Forno Sammarco will give you the opportunity to taste the best bread ever and make you appreciate all the passion for its land.
