Company Profile
Founded in Turin in 1836, Stratta is one of Italy’s oldest confectionery maisons and is officially recognized as a Historic Italian Business, preserving a heritage that spans nearly two centuries. From its earliest years, Stratta became a reference point for Italy’s cultural and institutional elite, earning the prestigious title of Official Purveyor to the Royal House of Savoy, a mark of excellence, trust, and refinement.
Among its most distinguished historical patrons was Count Camillo Benso di Cavour, who was particularly fond of Stratta’s confetti and confections, enjoying them as part of his daily life. This connection reflects the maison’s central role in the social and cultural fabric of Italy during the Risorgimento period.
Today, Stratta 1836 continues to uphold the finest traditions of Piedmontese confectionery, specializing in the production of candies, confetti, chocolates, and traditional leavened cakes for festive occasions, such as panettone and colomba. Each creation is crafted using historic recipes passed down through generations, respecting time-honored techniques, premium ingredients, and artisanal gestures.
All Stratta products are entirely Made in Italy, as are the iconic packaging designs that house them, expressing a coherent system of values where craftsmanship, elegance, and Italian identity converge.
More than a confectionery maison, Stratta 1836 stands as a symbol of style, heritage, and continuity, narrating its noble past while looking confidently toward the future.
