Company Profile
Ancient, like the recipes of our Amaretti; Dulcinea, like the Lady that Don Quixote raises to the quintessence of the sweetness of the world to be defended at any cost.
The history of our Confectionery Company, as well as the recipe for our soft Amaretti, dates back to 1850, inherited from an ancient family of pastry chefs. We pay special attention to the ingredients: more almonds, fewer kernels, for a full and very delicate taste, which maintains strong fragrance and freshness.
Antica Dulcinea’s soft amaretti and the other specialities are handmade, from the dough to baking, from the filling to the wrapping. A scrupulous attention to the raw materials and the absence of flour contamination make our products healthy, greedy, gluten free. Among our references, we also have the sugar-free amaretto suitable in low sugar diets.
The sweetness doesn’t need special occasions! We spend a lot of time in the search for delicious and original flavors, we offer a varied and complete range of products. Our creations are good for any moment of the day, they stimulate the imagination and the search for the right match!
“Pleasant and nicely bitter”. that’s what the first, lucky amaretto tasters said when the amaretto still had no name. It was the luck and the conventional wisdom to create what, later on, became the most typical expression of Piedmont’s pastry. Its recipe was never written but was passed on through the centuries, preserving the tradition of the almond, the kernels and of the special baking. This leaves the fragrance intact and, through the cracks of the surface, give a sense of the soft heart.
Antica Dulcinea is located in Via Circonvallazione 44/A in Castelletto Stura in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont.
