Natura Humana, an Apulian start-up specialized in the production of carob-based products made through a patented CARRUBA VIVA ® cold extraction process which preserves the properties and nutrients of which this fruit is naturally rich.
Natura Humana directly engages in the collection of carobs to know their origin, preferring the supply from small farmers in the area.
The project was inspired by the desire to bring back forgotten fruits typical of the Mediterranean area, naturally rich in functional properties for human well-being. The research immediately focused on the Carob tree, an ancestral tree belonging to the legume family, which has always been on the earth and a friend of men. In the past, its fruits were used as a tonic due to its high energy power or as a medicinal remedy for those suffering from digestive problems. Due to its distinctly sweet taste it was renamed "the poor man's chocolate". Carob is a real panacea, rich in vitamins, minerals, fibers, antioxidants and containing less than 1% fat. Its numerous fibers stimulate the sense of satiety (excellent anti-hunger) and improve digestive disorders. Natura Humana has created a series of products based on Carruba Viva®: .Mu Mu Pure carob - nutraceutical sweetener to be used as a vegetable honey;
