Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by food, and not because of hunger but rather out of gluttony to perceive its mouth-watering flavors, aromas and colors.
This is because my mother, an excellent cook, felt such satisfaction in churning out tempting dishes, appreciated and enjoyed by the rest of the family, that she no longer saw herself as a homemaker, but rather as a five-star chef. My father, on the other hand, who was much stricter and more realistic, when confronted with failures, would often exclaim, "Magna e tasi!" (Eat and shut up!).
I have never forgotten this phrase, so blunt as it is rough and real: food is in any case the result of sacrifice and hard work.
So I grew up, and slowly this passion, stronger and stronger, turned into a desire for knowledge, to explore the best that exists in this wonderful food world. I have the good fortune to be Italian, and, with arrogance, I claim to be able to choose, from the North to the South of this country, products of absolute quality unparalleled in the world.
All this has allowed me to realize a dream, by carrying my being into the work I love. For over twenty years I have meticulously, safely and with great professionalism selected raw materials, transforming them with appropriate recipes into products that today, for me, are true culinary excellences branded "Cà Foresto."
Besides my staff, sharing all this, with enthusiasm, determination and a lot of patience, is my partner Samira, always involved with critical and essential lucidity in the most important business decisions.
We dedicate this immense work to those who will be able to appreciate it, by drawing from it the emotions and satisfactions we have felt in building it with such dedication.
