It is possible to travel through time, thanks to the work of our ancestors who lovingly handed down to us the ancient recipes and the knowledge of our Lucca tradition, today as then, we can rediscover the sweets of our territory and our past, and the same flavors that our ancestors enjoyed centuries ago, faithfully prepared to keep our history alive. By selecting the best raw materials, which do justice to the scrupulous search for authenticity, we are committed to pursuing tradition but also working on innovation, to create excellent sweet "children" of our ancient history, innovative and tasty but always linked to typical authenticity of traditional pastry.
Already in the early years of the last century the renowned Taddeucci company had naturally evolved into fine confectionery, using only the highest quality ingredients including cream of milk butter and natural yeast, as per tradition.
In addition to the now famous buccellato, which has received numerous awards, among which we remember the recent review by the famous New York Times gastronomist and critic, Mimi Sheraton, who included in her book, "The 1000 foods to eat before you die" , precisely Our Antico Buccellato; how to resist PanPuccini or biscuits with fabulous pistachios, cantuccini, ricciarelli, pinolate, Lenten, ugly good, and many others, or how not to be seduced by the inimitable panforti, fragrant nougat and our chocolate shop?
In the periods of the Christmas and Easter holidays, traditional products such as Panettoni, Pandori and Colombe and Easter Eggs, Quaresimali and Ramerini, from the shop windows disperse their scent everywhere: once again the raw materials are our right arm and every recipe is made unique by the craftsmanship that distinguishes us.
Our Colombe, available not only in the Classic version, but like the Panettoni, are also offered in the amazing variants of sour cherry and white chocolate, figs and walnuts, pistachios and lemon and much more, are a true triumph of authenticity and goodness that has equal.
It is possible to taste sweet, savory or magnificent cakes, even outside our historic restaurant, where comfortably seated at the tables overlooking the famous Piazza San Michele, in the heart of Lucca, you can pamper yourself in complete relaxation, eating and sipping drinks. tea, chocolate or Marino's legendary cappuccino.
Thanks to the creativity, passion and love for the art of pastry-making over the course of these 139 years of activity, we have also received noteworthy official awards. The Taddeucci family, in fact, boasts prestigious awards for the high professional levels achieved in its long history and for having hosted famous and royal characters, such as King Charles the Third of England, who visited Lucca and tasted our specialties, doing justice and thanks to the tradition of our beautiful city, famous throughout the world also for its commitment to preserve and keep alive the identity of the territory.
