Between Pisa, Florence and the splendid sea of the Etruscan Coast stands the Tenuta Bellavista Insuese.
We are located in the Municipality of Collesalvetti, on the outskirts of Livorno: here, between plains, hills, woods and lakes, there are 700 completely organic hectares immersed in the typical Tuscan countryside.
The peculiar characteristics of the Estate earned a "special mention" in the 2017 edition of the national competition "Landscape Factory" organized under the patronage of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO.
 
Who we are
Tenuta Bellavista Insuese is a family-run farm, founded in 1980. In these 40 years, the Vitarelli family, owner of the estate, has fully embraced the philosophy of organic: this is demonstrated by the crops that extend over the country side, representing a true "gateway to Tuscany" between the blue sea of ​​the Etruscan Coast and the hinterland that leads to Florence and Pisa. Integrated with organic crops,
the "Oasi della Contessa" Regional Nature Reserve, which is also part of the "Selve Costiere di Toscana" UNESCO MaB Reserve,
-          two Hunting reserves,
-           seven lakes  characterized by uncontaminated woods.
A setting of great environmental value in which the hand of man has brought added value. Even the existing real estate assets, made up of farmhouses and farmhouses typical of the Tuscan countryside, integrate perfectly with the green of our hills and the blue of the sky and water, elements that permeate the essence of the Bellavista Insuese Estate.
A unique naturalistic and landscape treasure chest, just 15 minutes away from the Pisa International Airport and the Livorno Maritime Port, with the junctions of the A12 motorway and the Fi-Pi-Li highway just over 5 km.
 
Agriculture and farm Products
The hills that welcome rows of olive trees and the fields destined to the cultivation of ancient wheat characterize the landscape of the Bellavista Insuese estate in an unmistakable way. The totally organic agricultural crops that find a home here have allowed us to develop products of absolute excellence over the years, starting with ancient grain flours.
We were forerunners in the rediscovery of the original wheat varieties and we have chosen with conviction to allocate over 100 hectares of arable land to the cultivation of Verna, Gentil Rosso and Triticum Turanicum wheat following the old and healthy principles of rotation and green manuring.
23 hectares are covered by beautiful olive trees, with over 7000 specimens of the typical Tuscan cultivars (frantoio, moraiolo and leccino) from which we extract the excellent "Olea" organic extra virgin olive oil.
In addition, valuable crops such as chickpeas, lentils and flax and experimental crops such as amaranth are found on the grounds of the estate.
 
Natural areas
Our distinctive brand has always been to direct the activity of man in the enhancement of the natural peculiarities inherent in the place. It is for this reason that we have decided, since 1980, to use a pre-existing hydrographic basin, with the natural spring that feeds Lake Filippo, giving life to another 6 artificial lakes, among which Lake Alberto stands out.
Located in the center of the Stigliano valley, nestled between green woods and nature trails, Lake Alberto presents itself as a multifunctional equipped area to host sporting, food and wine and cultural events: among all, the summer appointment with the "Opera al Lago", event of great importance, appreciated far beyond local borders.
The element of water also finds its outlet in the "Oasi della Contessa" Regional Nature Reserve: 20 hectares of marshy areas included in the UNESCO MaB Reserve "Coastal Selves of Tuscany", which host unique species of birdlife and in which to live the experience magical birdwatching and breathtaking excursions. All this, on the immediate border with the Regional Park of Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli (www.parcosanrossore.org).
The estate also includes an area intended for horse shelter and riding stables, mountain-bike and trekking routes and, finally, two hunting reserves  where it is possible to practice both hunting activity and dog training.
 
Hospitality
Tenuta Bellavista Insuese has chosen to focus heavily on hospitality, differentiating forms and ways of accommodation so that everyone can feel "at home" once they cross the property border.
Two large typical Tuscan farmhouses, recently renovated according to the faithful architectural characteristics of the early 19th century, offer a plurality of accommodations capable of satisfying any need.
The "Spondone" dominates the hill of the same name and is the ideal location for events and receptions: a single, large and comfortable apartment on the first floor, with a large living room with fireplace and equipped kitchen, 5 bedrooms (triple and double) and 4 bathrooms. On the ground floor, large spaces for private events, ceremonies, weddings, team building with a spacious and professional kitchen for catering. Outside, a large garden with swimming pool from which you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view, a lovely gazebo overlooking the woods and another larger gazebo, on the opposite side.
The "Rondinaia" is instead made up of 5 apartments, with a swimming pool and dedicated garden. Located at the foot of a hill planted with typical Tuscan olive trees, it is connected to the "Biostè" tavern, a restaurant that is offered to guests and visitors as the entrance door to the Estate for a stop dedicated to the taste and flavors of the past. , in pure Tuscan style.
The offer is completed by the historic area of ​​the "Villa Orsini" farm consisting of 2 very large apartments that develop on the ground floor, first and attic with adjoining courtyard. Current management center of the Estate, it is already structured to host workshops, presentations and various initiatives.
