Company Profile
ZAGO AGRICOLA is the result of a path built over time and of an innate process of family tradition that has been handed down for five generations. In fact, already in the mid-nineteenth century the Zago family began cultivating vines.
The vineyard is dedicated to the production of Prosecco Doc, having been planted in an area particularly suitable, due to its morphological characteristics, for the creation of this wine. Zago Agricola offers the public two interpretations of Prosecco Doc: the first with the "on the yeasts" method, "Col Fondo", non-disgorged, as per family tradition and ancestors; the second, with the Italian method, richer in bubbles. The vineyard is located in Taiedo di Chions, a small country town, located halfway between Venice and the Prosecco town, in the province of Trieste. The vineyards are surrounded only by agricultural crops, hedges and woods, far from industrial settlements, where it is often possible to see free wild animals.
ZAGO AGRICOLA has decided to produce three types of Prosecco DOC all with the same common denominator, wines with a fresh and elegant taste and which can be combined with food with great ease.
ZAGO Prosecco is ideal for celebrating the daily joy of living.
Zago Agricola has decided to manage its vineyard according to the integrated viticulture method, respecting the rhythms imposed by nature, using natural tools and limiting the environmental impact as much as possible. The cultivation systems are aimed at achieving high quality Prosecco Doc through: low yield systems per vine, spring water for the independent irrigation of the vines, very careful pruning, balanced development of the vegetation and constant control and great attention in surveillance of production.
