Company Profile
On the hills overlooking the Ionian Sea, inhabited by people of ancient Arbëreshë origins, in Vaccarizzo Albanese, in Calabria, the Librandi brothers (Carmela, Angela, Lucia, Michele and Pino) are the fifth generation guardians of their centenary olive groves. The family estates, entirely cultivated according to organic farming methods since 1997, extend over 229 hectares, of which 154 are intended for the cultivation of about 27,000 olive trees.
In Tenute Librandi, the 4.0 olive grove is already a reality, precision probes are used to monitor plant stress and to optimize water resources.
Only the organic olives harvested in the family olive groves are pressed in the modern company oil mill, within a few hours of harvesting, into excellent organic monocultivar evoo. They are flanked by highly sought after blend extra virgin olive oils, and a production of refined organic citrus jams, made from fruits grown on the farm.
In 2021 Tenute Librandi was awarded as “the farm of the year”in the international guide Flos Olei.
In addition to the countless awards for product quality, the packaging design has also received prestigious awards, including the Dieline Award in Los Angeles, the Amphora Olearia at the Ercole Olivario and the Fedrigoni Top Award. The bottles of the Monocultivar Tenute Librandi have been exhibited at the MUDEC in Milan and at the Museu del Disseny in Barcelona.
