Salumificio Palmieri has a history of over a century behind, since Emilio Palmieri opened his quality artisanal cured meats business in the heart of Modena in 1919.
His son Carlo moved to the countryside in 1961, starting a still artisanal production of mortadella, salami, pancetta and coppa. At the beginning of the nineties the factory specialized in the production of premium mortadella.
Today it's the fourth generation to manage the company, which is recognized as a reference brand on Italian markets in the production of high quality mortadella, including the iconic Mortadella Favola.
Favola is a super premium product that has written a page in the history of Italian charcuterie, because it is the first and only mortadella stuffed and cooked in the natural pig skin. The idea of Favola was born from the desire to stand out from all other producers by offering something unique.
