It has been 25 years since our father founded our family business in the territory of Maniace, nestled in the valley between Etna and Nebrodi, where vegetables and fruits grow healthy and flavorful. A first step to shorten the supply chain was the sale of these raw materials in a small shop in the heart of Bronte, followed by direct sales at the Coldiretti "Campagna Amica" markets, where apples, pears, cauliflowers, tomatoes, and all the other products grown in our fields have met with the approval of consumers.
What's our secret? Alright, we'll tell you: certainly, the territory where the company is located plays its part, thanks to its favorable exposure and strong temperature range. But also the agricultural practices we adopt contribute to giving fruits and vegetables a unique and authentic taste.
A family philosophy for goodness and health
In our agricultural practices, we adopt the technique of integrated pest management, a crop protection practice that involves the introduction of beneficial insects while respecting those already present in nature. What's the point? To protect the fruits from harmful insects thanks to the biodiversity of the territory and the climate, two elements that play in our favor, as we have always preferred common sense and respect for nature rather than simple "at all costs" production.
The NATURIUS project
The quintessence of these fruits of the earth, which is not commercialized in large-scale distribution, is selected and transformed, giving life to NATURIUS, the new line of products that starts with mango, pear, apricot, and pomegranate nectar and then expands with the inclusion of new products such as tomato puree, peeled tomatoes, ready-made sauces, pear and blackberry jam, pickled cabbage, mushrooms, and caponata.
Everything is made the old-fashioned way, all genuine. Because NATURIUS is a niche, almost "limited edition" line of products, where nature is in command, dictating the timing and quantities of each product.
