Il Bottaccio is a Tuscan farm located in the hills of the upper Maremma. It began its journey with oils, boasting great extra virgin olive oils: blends and single varieties. The range is wide and aims to highlight the unique characteristics of each type of olive. To produce the oil, the first step is to care for the trees throughout the different seasons: fertilizing, pruning, watering and harvesting. Green olives are harvested and pressed within 8 hours! It is with the olive tree and the experience that il Bottaccio has gained throughout its history, which began before the 1930s, that we look to the future, thinking about the production of good oils and products. Il Bottaccio also grows and offers crunchy vegetables preserved in extra virgin olive oil. The vegetables are directly cooked in a pot and have a wide variety of uses. They can be served as an aperitif or as a side dish, allowing you to munch on healthy vegetables with their flavour intact. These are accompanied by creams, sauces, sweet and sour giardiniera and some exciting novelties for this edition of Taste.
