Company Profile
A FAMILY BUSINESS SINCE 1428
We are a historic company, passed down through the same family since 1428. Today, we cultivate grapes for the prestigious Chianti Classico DOCG wine and olives for the renowned Chianti Classico DOP extra virgin olive oil, continuing to be a point of reference for our local community. Over the centuries, many families from the area have worked with us, forging bonds of friendship and collaboration that endure to this day.
OLIVE TREES IN THE TUSCAN HILLS
In the heart of the Tuscan hills, just outside Florence, we carefully tend to 2,500 olive trees. This land, characterized by well-draining soil, optimal sun exposure, a constant breeze, and an altitude of 180–200 meters, provides the perfect conditions for producing exceptional quality products.
Each tree is meticulously cared for throughout the year with precise pruning to ensure consistent production. The fruits are harvested directly from the trees at just the right time and taken immediately to the mill for oxygen-free processing, preserving their freshness. Storage in stainless steel containers under inert gas ensures the oil remains fresh for over 18 months.
AN AWARD-WINNING OLIVE OIL
Our commitment to excellence has been recognized internationally: for over four years, our oil has won awards in the most prestigious national and international competitions, including AIRO and JOOP Japan. It has also been named Best DOP Oil in Italy by Gambero Rosso and consistently ranks at the top of guides such as Bibenda, Flos Olei, and others.
A TRADITION THAT CONQUERS THE WORLD
We collaborate with internationally renowned chefs who bring our oil to tables around the world, promoting Italian quality and excellence. Our label, designed by the famous photographer Oliviero Toscani, encapsulates the essence of Italy: art, culture, history, landscapes, and the unique charm of Florence. It is a true homage to Italy and a refined addition to the tables of our customers and their guests.
PASSION AND RESPECT FOR THE LAND
Despite the challenges of our land – stony soil, limited fertility, and dry summers – our olive groves and vineyards yield fruit of extraordinary quality. For us, this land is not just a resource but a heritage to be preserved with respect and responsibility. We use only natural methods, avoiding chemical pesticides, and are committed to passing these values on to future generations, maintaining the beauty and quality of a landscape recognized as one of the most beautiful in the world.
