Company Profile
Autore Chocolate: tradition and innovation for an international taste.
The traditional brittle is produced in the San Marco dei Cavoti about 100 km far from Naples in the south of Italy. Some recipes date back as far as 100 BC, when a precious mixture of almonds, hazelnuts and honey was called "cupedia" by the ancient Romans, a latin term that describes their love for sweets. Later, these chocolate bars became the favorite food of the King of Naples, Ferdinand I of Bourbon, and later found their way onto noble tables throughout Europe. Today, they have rightfully become part of the Italian culinary tradition.
The entire brittle production process still takes place in a copper pot, with meticulously selected raw materials. From the most classic, with caramelized almonds and hazelnuts covered in fine dark chocolate, to the more surprising with almonds, hazelnuts, honey figs and black cherries always covered in a veil of chocolate, Autore crunchy delicacies are today highly appreciated even by the most demanding palates.
The care and attention to detail in packaging make Autore products ideal for luxury food shops, restaurants and hotels looking to pamper their guests. The Autore product range is extensive. In addition to its signature products, such as various types of crunchy chocolate bars, the company produces spreads, pralines, and bars. After various experiences abroad working in multinational companies and extensive travels around the world, Antonio Autore found inspiration in renewing tradition and offering a product of the highest quality in terms of ingredients and processing, following a family tradition. Craftsmanship, good taste, and research are the factors that make this product a small yet exquisite treasure in a region that Antonio Autore has not left anymore.
