For one hundred and twenty years the continuous search for perfection, the care in the choice of raw materials and the constant quality control have characterized the products of the Izzi family.
Everything started in 1903 when a young Fondano pastry chef, chemistry and herbalism lover, extracted an infusion from officinal herbs with extraordinary tonic and digestive properties. His name was Vincenzo Izzi and the Izzi family has jealously kept the secret of Amaro Erbes for four generations.
Amaro Erbes is the symbol of the company. It cannot be classified as a common bitter: its genuineness is guaranteed by the quality of the extracts which, unlike those normally used, ensure the much sought after digestive efficacy.
Over the years, the product range has expanded with Amaro Erbes Gran Riserva, Sambuca Premium and Sambuca al Caffè, while the search for new formulas continues.
Today, the Izzi Liquor Factory looks to the future with dynamism and deep respect for the environment. The entire product line is certified organic: the organoleptic properties of the selected botanicals, the best organic wheat alcohol as well as the Italian organic beet sugar are preserved and enhanced by the craftsmanship. The packaging is also increasingly sustainable thanks to the use of 100% recycled glass bottles, alternative fibers labels and glue-free cork and activated charcoal closures.
