MASTERS AT PRODUCING PASTA
Filotea is an artisan company producing dried egg pasta, BASED in Ancona, in the heart of the Marche region central Italy.
It was founded by two friends, Pietro and Francesco, in 2005 with the GOAL of making the finest egg pasta in the world.
It currently exports its products in over FIFTY countries worldwide
There is a strong tradition of egg pasta making in the Marche region.
Still today many mothers and grandmothers are preparing their pasta from scratch on Sundays and festive days.
The aim of Filotea is to reproduce the work of these ladies, bringing on everybody’s table a pasta that tastes like homemade.
A UNIQUE RECIPE
Filotea egg pasta is made according to a unique and traditional recipe, using the highest quality local ingredients: durum wheat semolina, 27% eggs, 00 flour.
Furthermore the pasta is slowly dried for 24 hours, at a low temperature This special drying process gives the pasta the authentic flavour typical of the homemade one.
This patient artisan preparation also guarantees a unique product, which is incredibly light and easy to digest, while its textured surface helps absorb sauces thus exalting the flavour of all ingredients.
